Like any good ex-dev who’s taken up writing on the Internet again, I have begun the cycle of overthinking which tool it is I’ve chosen to build my little world.
Shockingly, when I built out this site originally…. I wasn’t overthinking it.
I just went with the tool who’s name I remember seeing around the most when the subject of static site builders came up, and that for me was Jekyll.
And it’s been fine.
I’m mostly just publishing html files of text to the web, so…. it’s not like I’m using for anything challenging, but… I keep looking at Eleventy and it’s flexibility, and the fact that I have friends using it…. and thinking maybe it’s worth the switch while I’m still early on in building things out.
